The LOA is necessary to apply for the study permit in Canada. To get the Letter of Acceptance, the Candidate first needs to apply to the selected DLI. Once the application is accepted, the Institute may offer the Letter of Acceptance. A letter of Acceptance should contain the following things.
There should be a date of expiry in the Letter of Acceptance. In case the study permit processing does not complete within the expiration period of the letter. The student needs to procure an extension letter from the institution and sent to IRCC to aid the permit application.
The IRCC has a template for the LOA along with the instructions to complete the required information. The students should note that the Letter of Acceptance from a DLI is not an assurance that the study permit application is approved. The IRCC has the sole discretion to allow the permit.
Some exemptions are available for the requirement for the Letter of Acceptance
In case the foreign citizen gets a written approval for a study permit or temporary work visa before arriving in Canada, the family members can apply for the Letter of Acceptance.
The students are applying fora course of six months or lesser, as a Study permit is needed for that.
When a student applies for a study permit for any course which is offered by more than one school, then the LOA should state it clearly. The institutions providing the course should be DLI, and the LOA should be given by the DLI, which can provide a degree, certificate, or diploma. The degree, graduation, and certificate issues by more than one DLI collectively, the Letter of Acceptance is issued by the DLI in which the student wants to start his study. The Letter of Acceptance should mention The name, Location of Institute, and the Type of the Institution.

After the study permit is issued, the DLI must be the institution that issues the LOA. And other institutions should be mentioned in the Remark section.
