The candidates with the highest scores in the express entry pool are short-listed and are considered for an ITA. It is a program of Canadian federal government through which IRCC draws out an application from the pool, select the candidate meeting the requirements, and send an ITA to facilitate his/her immigration to Canada.
It is not a job offer or any eligibility condition to enter the labor market of Canada. It is a letter to help candidates immigrate to Canada based on their skills.
The candidates must meet the minimum requirement of this federal economic immigration pathway to enter the Express Entry pool. These candidates are ranked according to CRS (out of 1,200 points) on the basis of the following factors-
All candidates who receive an Invitation To Apply are currently required to submit the following supporting documents along with their application, along with government processing fees to IRCC. It must be noted that a candidate has to submit the application within 60 days of the issuance of ITA. No extension would be granted.
The invitation to apply needs to be responded on, within 60 days of its issuance. If the candidate doesn’t apply or decline an ITA, it will expire within 60 days. The candidates who still want to immigrate to Canada will have to re-submit their profile to the express entry pool, provided that they meet the minimum required criteria.
Any claims or information presented by the candidate, if found to be false, are considered as misrepresentation. These misrepresentation provisions ensure that no false claim is made by candidates, and truthful information is provided in all manner when they apply for immigration.
If a candidate has been found to provide false information, his application to the pool will automatically be rejected, and he would be barred to re-enter the pool for five years.
The consequences of misrepresentation may exceed to inadmissibility to Canada. The applicant is responsible for all the information he/she has provided in the express entry profile.
A few examples of misrepresentation are:
Candidates who have denied an ITA would be placed back in the express entry pool. They would be considered for future invitations, as they have met the required criteria of the federal immigration program.
If a candidate has denied the ITA for a later date, there is no surety that he/she will receive it later. However, it would not affect if the candidate could be called in to apply on a later date.
